We've been hearing for quite some time that Audi was hard at work on a successor to the extremely impressive TT RS, and thanks to Andreas from CarPix, we now have images.  Hidden in plain sight as a Vegas Yellow TTS, this TT RS test mule was spotted in Sweden undergoing cold weather testing, and sporting quite a few notable features.

First, we'll start with the most obvious- that manual gearshift sitting between the two front seats.  While we only received the proper manual gearbox here in the states, the previous TT RS was available in both traditional and twin-clutch configurations, and from the looks of things, that just might be the case again for this iteration.  Fingers crossed.

Next up is the inclusion of Audi's RS-exclusive steel Wave rotors and eight-piston front brakes, which appear to be lifted directly from the new RS 3.  Both of these are notable upgrades from the previous TT RS's four-piston stoppers and traditional (but still lightweight) ventilated brake rotors.

We're not sure exactly when we'll see the production-spec TT RS, but from what we've been told, it should show up sometime this year.  Hopefully when it breaks cover, it comes with three pedals.
