Current Audi Sport Team Joest Race Engineer and former WEC "Man of the Year" Leena Gade will be leaving the four rings for a Managerial role at Bentley Motorsport, according to a report published earlier today on .  This will undoubtedly be a massive loss for Audi Sport but a great career move for Gade, who has three 24 Hours of Le Mans victories, and a FIA World Endurance Championship to her name.

As of right now, little is known about her new role within Bentley Motorsport, although Daily Sports Car reports that it will deal closely with Bentley Motorsport's customer programs, and not linked to MSport or any "future programs."  When asked for comment by the publication, Audi Sport confirmed the departure and said, "...she is breaking in her successor, Erik Schuivens, in testing and racing operations. His involvement will begin with the season opener at Silverstone.”

Naturally, we'll be sad to see Leena go, but we're happy she's staying in the family.   It will be quite interesting to see what she's able to do to help with Bentley's motorsport resurgence.
