Drivers focused on last year's DTM champion will be seeing red this year. That's because title defender René Rast is getting a new red paint job for 2018.

The car got a refresh to meet some new rules, so Audi has reliveried all of its RS 5 DTM cars too. Rast will be keeping his number 33 instead of the champion's number 1, but his car will wear the red, white, and black Audi Sport scheme.

Mike Rockenfeller’s Schaeffler Audi RS 5 DTM is white and green, moving away from the yellow and green his car has worn since 2011. It matches the e-tron FE04 from Formula E. Two more Audi team cars are splitting sponsors. Instead of dual Castrol Edge and ARAL Ultimate fuel colours, there will be one Castrol Audi and one ARAL Audi.

The factory team has some new sponsorship this year, from partners Mascot Workwear, Akrapovic exhaust, MegaRige, Alpinestars, Gerolsteiner, Hofmuhl, and MAN.

The 2018 DTM seasons starts May 5th at the Hockenheimring.
