Auburn Hills, MI - Audi of America may be relocating to Virginia, but that didn’t dampen the spirit at MIVE’s Motorstadt V, again held on the grounds of Volkswagen and Audi’s Auburn Hills facility.

Crowds gathered under an overcast sky on Saturday, June 7, but as cars continued to arrive, the day brightened. The show’s main focus continues to be Volkswagen, though the presence of Audis at the event continues to grow.


There was an impressive showing of heritage cars, thanks to Francois Faloppa and his super-clean collection of classics. Faloppa’s red 1973 Audi coupe S that we spotted last year was accompanied by a blue ’73 Audi 100 LS and a blue ’64 Auto Union F12 Roadster.

Two UrQuattros, in Helios Blue and Tornado Red, managed to get as much attention standing still as they did burbling through the lot. Jeff Ahn made an appearance with his red A6, on a stop from his “Figure 8 The States” road trip mission.


MIVE proudly continued its tradition of a tight, well-run, friendly gathering, characterized by good music and an unbeatable location.
