Audi of Nashua Donates Food and Gifts to New Hampshire Residents in Need During Holiday Season

With all the media attention surrounding auto makers and the declining economy, Audi of Nashua in New Hampshire turned its attention to a cause they felt was more deserving of their attention. The Hillsborough County Audi dealer is under the umbrella of the Lyon Waugh Auto Group, a well respected company which owns various dealerships in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The Lyon Waugh Auto group has made charity a staple of their successful businesses, and when the holidays roll around, giving, not getting, is top priority on their minds.

This year, Audi of Nashua generously donated dozens of turkeys and ‘fixins’ to the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter for the Thanksgiving holiday. Hundreds of underprivileged New Hampshire residents were treated to a hot holiday dinner, courtesy of Nashua Soup Kitchen along with donations from local supporters like Audi of Nashua.

Additionally, the management team at Audi of Nashua used their high traffic showroom to collect toys for children at St. Joseph’s hospital in Nashua. The toy drive was a great success with dozens of new toys for boys and girls pouring in from Audi staff members, customers and residents in the area.

General Manager Larry Bedell commented on the success of both events by saying, ‘Instead of being so focused on the recession and everything wrong in the world today, we wanted to shed some positive light around the holidays and recognize that not everything revolves around ‘the Big 3’. There are people less fortunate who don’t have a hot meal for the holidays and children who will spend this Christmas in the hospital. These are the people who truly deserve our attention and help.”
